KANE DOUBTFUL FOR NORWICH CITY CLASH

Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane is a big doubt for his North London team ahead of their trip to face bottom club Norwich City on the final day of the current Premier League season. Kane is doubtful for the Norwich City game due to illness, but the expectation is that the Englishman will recover in time to lead the line for Spurs in a game that would secure Champions League football next season.

Kane has been suffering from Gastroenteritis in the past few days and the England international has to miss an event on Friday as a result. He has been influential for Spurs over the course of the last two games thereby helping to overturn a four-point deficit to Arsenal to a two-point advantage.

In their penultimate league game, Kane scored a brace in the first half to lead Tottenham Hotspur to a 3-0 win over Arsenal with Son Heung-Min getting the other goal for the home team. Arsenal came into the North London Derby encounter against Spurs with a four-point lead and it was reduced to a solitary point at the end of the game.

Kane and Spurs took a big step towards Champions League football next season with a slim win over Burnley at home, while Arsenal failed to impress during their away game against Newcastle United. Kane was the matchwinner for Spurs after he scored a late penalty in the first half to give his team a 1-0 win over Burnley who are battling to stay in the Premier League.  Tottenham Hotspur moved one point ahead of Arsenal with the win over Burnley on Sunday, but the Gunners could not move back above their North London rivals in the race for Champions League football after they lost 2-0 at Newcastle United on Monday. Ben White (own goal) and Bruno Guimares were the goalscorers in the second half.

As things stand, Spurs have a two-point lead over Arsenal with one game left to play.
